ATTENDANCE REMINDERS

  • Being late to school\class or leaving early from school\class is considered an absence.
  • Please turn in a note within 3 days of an absence.
  • Parents can only write 10 excused notes per year. After 10 absences, a doctor's note will be required.
  • If you have 10 or more unexcused absences or tardies combined, charges may be filed against you.
  • Please keep all contact information accurate and up to date.
  • Good attendance is essential for students learning.  Please understand the impact non-attendance can have on grades as well as the possibility of fines levied through the court for failure to attend school.
 

ATTENDANCE LAWS

During the 2022-2023 school year, Lake View will require students to be in every class for 90% of the assigned days in the fall semester AND spring semester to meet the minimum attendance for credit requirements required by the Texas Education Code.

Texas Education Code-Sec.25.092. A student in any grade level from kindergarten through grade 12 may not be given credit or a final grade for a class unless the student is in attendance for at least 90% of the days the class is offered.
